Sureibus is a town where both humans and human/animal hybrids live.
Ikimino are a race of human-like creatures that bare animal-esque qualities. Such as inhuman ears, tail, fangs, strange eyes, wings, etc. When these creatures were first discovered, they were considered as abnormal, and were slaughtered whenever seen. Now the human race has hired 'Ikimino catchers', people who hunt and catch Ikimono to sell, breed and enslave the creatures. Anyone with the money can go to the local store and buy one of these creatures for their own purpose.
Although there are many cruel humans that use the Ikimino for horrible reasons, there are also the few people who often give shelter to these creatures. When an Ikimino is bought, one can do anything they want with it, including releasing it; but it is almost always caught once more because if the tagging device that is given to an Ikimino shortly after capture. The device is like a piercing, most of the time being on the creatures ear, tail or back of neck. There are some who keep their Ikimino as pets for sexual purposes, or even just to release anger upon them. There are those that collect and breed their Ikiminos, in an attempt to create the most dazzling pet around.
