From first glance, an Ikimino can seem like a normal human; but there are several things that separate the two races. Ikimino possess characteristics that are unique to them. Here is a list of some of those physical characteristics Ikimino possess.
Animal-esque ears
Tails
Fangs
Talons
Odd facial features(slit pupils/eyelids that close at odd angles/animal noses, etc)
Scales in a specific place or covering body
Tufts of fur or fur covering body
Feathers in a specific place or covering body
Wings
Elongated face(muzzle)
Oddly shaped limbs
Whiskers
Gills
There are also things Ikimino do that separate us from them, like making animal noises, scratching with their hind legs, having better senses. Some even run on all fours. They are a lot more flexible than humans are. Ikimino have classed species, species that are very much like normal animals; like tigers, dingos, sheep, toucans, sharks and even animals like giraffes, horses and hippos! The most common Ikimino to see on the streets nowadays is the cat and dog-type Ikiminos. The animals that are the most endangered in our world are the species of Ikimino that are the rarest and most valuable.
//History
Ikimino were discovered in late 2005, where some were kept in facilities as they were tested. The creatures could not speak English, only being able to make animal-esque noises like growls, hisses and coos. Their original home is some of the lands on the outskirts of Sureibus; where dozens of Ikimino still roam. Some time during 2007, they started being sold at high prices as slaves, playthings for the rich when they were deemed 'harmless if well trained'.
During the two years that Ikimino were being sold and bred, they became more and more popular, society being corrupted into believing that these creatures were nothing more then things that lived to serve the human race.
Ikimino shops broke out across the world, but the Ikimino capital remained Sureibus; the large town having the most Ikimino in the world, as well as the best breeders and rarest Ikimino around.
There exists Ikimino owner gatherings as well, where owners bring their Ikimino to a fancy ball room for the soul purpose or showing off their prized possessions.
Through the years, Ikimino have been taught how to behave human-like and speak our language, but there will always exist that urge to be free and wild spirit. Ikimino personalities are usually like this, if not submissive. They possess an animal-like will to be wild, but there are those that choose not to step up and fight; those that are considered well-trained.
