The world was finally in equilibrium, Territories and Realms at peace after an eternity of war and distrust. The Blood danced and sang for the glory of Witch and the Darkness that gave their power; and yet something whispered in the darkness, teasing those who listened with images of horror and destruction. And yet, too wrapped up in pleasure and wealth, the Blood ignored those who spoke of death until it was too late. The Purge came with out warning on a chilly Winsol morning, the first wave of pain and death catching many off guard, shattering their minds and Jewels, the Darkness called her children home even as the land roared in defiance.
In Terreille, there were screams of vengeance, swearing upon the dead that there would be retribution for the living. Most denied the accusations even as they plotted against those who went mad with power, twisting the glory of the Darkness until it was nothing better then madness.
Kaeleer, home to those deeply entwined with the Darkness, didn’t fair any better as the world shattered around them. Rifts between friendly territories erupted in bloodshed even as the embers of death settled around them. Kindred fared no better, eager to go into hiding while the humans sorted their affairs.
Even as they fought for survival, the Blood were once again struck by the unseen, attacks coming from both friend and foe. The Dea al Mon forests burned even as the lands of Shalador shattered; Courts were ripped apart by deceit and betrayal. War had seized the land of the Blood taking innocent lives of Queens and Landens, non-Blood, alike until the world would never be the same again.
When all was done, the land wept for her children, her shallow screams of despair echoing through the Darkness even as their blood warmed the soil they had been made to protect.
Some Blood survived; harbingers of hope as they sought to fix the world. And yet some cried out for vengeance, still eying each other as adversaries as they closed down their borders, willing them to protect what was left of the old ways.
And then it came again, not in war but by plague. It began sweeping out from the cities, cultivated for one purpose alone, to strike at those keeping the lands together. Dark jeweled Blood were the weakest when it came to fighting the infection, corrupting their blood and shattering their Jewels. Once again the Realms were under attack and the Darkness seemed to hate her children. And as silent as it came, it disappeared, leaving those who survived to scatter, afraid of contact even as courts fell and thrones became barren.
And yet the Darkness blessed her children and courts once again began to recover as life once again began to flourish. It seemed that the worst was over, and the Blood would survive. However, the hard times were not over yet. Kaeleer was once again became the breeding grounds of plague, staring in the outer territories and working it’s way towards Little Terreille. Refugees of the epidemic began to flock to the Dark Altars, seeking a way into Terreille. And yet even in Terreille the plague wasn’t truly gone, just hiding until it would once again become a pestilence.

The Darkest Web is a mature, intermediate role-playing board based off of Anne Bishop’s Black Jewel Trilogy. In a time of blood and tribulation, we are forging our own tales about the men and women that make up the Blood Race. Romance, war, and scandals fill up the pages of our book as we tell the stories of those that could become legends. The Darkest Web has been an active board for two years now, and we plan on being around for many more to come. We have wonderful administration team and very active players. We are always looking for new players and new ideas. We would love to have you.
Note: We do allow character transfers from other BJT sites. Please PM Melissa to receive information on transfers.
